Lake Carroll offers two areas for member with horses. Their main area is a fenced-in location behind the Leroy Hinkle Dam. The enclosure is ideal for those looking to train their horses as well as a separate space reserved for miniature breeds. The horses reside in lean-toes with plenty of trees for shade, and a shelter containing food and tack is kept close to the pasture.
A second area is near Plumtree Recreation Area on the south edge of the lake property. Both locations offer access to a 14.5-mile trail through Lake Carroll’s forest, providing the perfect scenery for a horseback ride.
The Equestrian Club is a collective community that bonds riders together through their horsemanship and desire to share knowledge. Members are responsible for the care of their own horses unless other arrangements are made with another member.
